Ergonomic Consultation
Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers’ certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialists conduct on-site evaluations of the jobs’ ergonomic requirements, examining the fit between the workers and the work. The Ergonomic Consultation—which typically takes 2 to 5 hours per job title—considers the workers’ sizes, strength, and abilities to handle tasks, tools, and the overall work environment. Accelerated experts also meet with employers to identify problem areas and to discuss existing programs.
Information gathered during the Ergonomic Consultation is used to prepare a comprehensive report that outlines potential risk factors and identifies cost-effective solutions to improve worker safety and performance. The Accelerated staff reviews the report and its recommendations with management in order to determine which corrective actions are feasible.
Research and experience have shown that Ergonomic Consultations reduce the incidence of work injuries as well as the frequency of workers’ compensation claims.
