Work Conditioning
The primary goal of the Work Conditioning program is to safely return injured workers to the workforce. For the purpose of this program, injured workers become “industrial athletes.” These “athletes” participate in daily, four-hour programs that are designed to address their physical deficits and prepare them for return-to-work.
Through encouragement and expert demonstration, Accelerated therapists work with the patients on stretching and strengthening, aerobic training, body mechanics, and pacing. Injured workers also take part in job simulation activities, and in due course, build strength and endurance for return-to-work.
